Appointments: Please call to make an appointment in advance. We often
give prompt appointments, especially for urgent problems.
-
For new
patients, please arrive 15 minutes early, or fill out the new patient
forms (click on forms) and bring them with you. Follow-up patients
should arrive about 5 minutes before appointment time.
-
If you are
unable to come to an appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice.
-
If your
child is sick, please reschedule a non-urgent appointment, so other
patients will not be exposed to illness. If the orthopedic problem is
urgent, please notify us so we can try to minimize exposure of other
patients.
-
We recommend
scheduling your follow-up appointments before leaving the office.
-
Reminder
calls are made from the schedule book, so you will not get a reminder if
your appointment is not scheduled with our office.
-
Copayments
are due at the time of your visit. We accept checks or cash only. As a
small business, the charges for credit cards are high, and we do not
want to have to pass those costs to our patients and their families.
-
For the
uninsured, we request a down payment and can negotiate a discount when
full payment is made at the time of service.
-
If
you would like us to discuss/share medical information with persons
other than parents, legal guardians or primary care physicians
permission should be given in writing.
-
Minors must
be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. With written permission,
another adult may accompany your child. The parent or guardian
should be present for the initial visit or when major decisions are
anticipated.
-
Results from
outside tests, like an MRI or lab work, usually take 1-7 days. Follow-up
appointments should be scheduled when the test is scheduled. If you
have not heard from us or had your follow up visit within a week of
having a study done, it is your responsibility to call.
-
If your child may require
assistance for Xray, the parent or another adult should
come with you to assist.
